On May 18, 2016 the complainant was emailed the CEI from March 2016 as well as compiled data from 2014 to present for TSS to demonstrate Unimin's compliance with their NPDES permit (see attached email for more details).
No site visit was conducted in regard to this complaint.

Description Comment:
From complaint form submitted online (5/16/2016):
"Unimin Corp is and has been outflowing waste water and sand containing obvious impurities affecting marine life, espically fish within the slough. Also, A highly visible sand stran is growing at the outflow site affecting water coloration. I have spoken with Unimin's ,Mr. Blankenship , who said he was in charge of the sediment operation with Unimin and that they were rplanning to stop any outflow into the slough. This is far past due. Unimin has gated access to their sediment and outfall site. Please investigate the outfall and determine if Unimin is within state environmental requirements. Thank you."
